I’ve never been crazy about the Paladin class. I love the concept of a Paladin, sort of King Arthur and the Knights but the mechanics…I really like simpler mechanics.
well there already was a paladin class in AD&D. I can’t speak to what happened in 2nd edition.. but basically JUST ABOUT everything in the AD&D unearthed arcana book was just so OP. I always feel like these were things that Gary had in his notebook, but didn’t release them until TSR needed a new book.
Did the Cavalier eventually become the Paladin class in DnD? I think I prefer the Cavalier!
BUT he’s a perfect class to play for Solo, which after reading this class (again), I got inspired to try it out lol
